Sacrament of Christian initiation

First Holy Communion

“I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats of this bread will live forever.”

John 6:51

Receiving the Eucharist

Welcoming Jesus for the first time

In the Holy Qurbana, Jesus gives Himself to us as the Bread of Life. First Holy Communion is the day a child receives the Body and Blood of Christ for the first time, completing the journey of Christian initiation begun at Baptism and Chrismation.

At St. Euphrasia Parish, children are prepared through our Catechism program, together with their families. It would be our joy to walk with your child as they come to know and love Jesus in the Eucharist.
